Complete loss of bluetooth music playback

I can still connect my phone and take phone calls. When I try to play music there's nothing though. There isn't even the option in the sources. I've tryed resetting idrive by holding the volume button several times. Also, when the head unit is powering on it makes this popping noise. It sounds like a ping pong ball bouncing. I don't know if it's related or not. Sorry if this has been discussed before.
